The Cabinet of Ministers extended until August 31, 2021 the effect of the resolution on the imposition of special obligations (PSO) on participants in the electric energy market. Until then, the electricity tariff for the population will be in effect at the level of 1,68 hryvnias per kWh. The decision was made on Government meeting on Wednesday, July 28.
It was planned that the PSO mechanism will operate until August 1. According to the calculations of the Ministry of Energy, the transition to market prices will lead to a doubling of tariffs for the population.
"Taking into account the above and the need to continue protecting household consumers from the sharp rise in the price of electricity, it is proposed to extend the validity period of the current PSO model by one more month, until August 31.08.2021, XNUMX," the draft resolution says.
As reported earlier, the Ministry of Energy intends to soon introduce new tariffs for electricity.
