The Verkhovna Rada supported the cancellation of the time change from winter to summer time. 277 People's Deputies voted for the corresponding draft law in the first reading.
Now, if the draft law is supported both in the second reading and in its entirety, then the hands of the clocks will not change in Ukraine.
First Vice-Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk noted during the consideration of the draft law in the meeting hall of the Verkhovna Rada that the task is to "introduce a natural winter for Ukraine"
"The main ideology of this bill is to introduce winter time +2, which is natural for Ukraine (UTC+2 time zone, i.e. +2 hours to Greenwich Mean Time - Ed.), which corresponds to standard time, and will refuse to change the time in the future," Stefanchuk said
That is, they want to leave Ukraine on winter time.
