Schoolchildren who complete their full general secondary education in the 2020/2021 school year are exempt from passing the state final certification. The Verkhovna Rada adopted the corresponding law No. 5014.
As explained by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, this initiative is designed to minimize the risks of the disease of COVID-19.
The legislative amendments provide that students who complete general secondary education in the 2020/2021 academic year have the right to pass the state final certification, including in the form of an external independent assessment, at their own request.
These legislative changes were also supported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, and identified as urgent.
At the same time, all stages of the external independent evaluation will take place within the planned time frame, regardless of the level of epidemic danger. The main one The VNO session will start on May 21.
