Today, November 25, a number of changes to the Road Traffic Rules (Traffic Rules), affecting drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians, entered into force.
So, earlier, taxi drivers and passengers could not use seat belts while driving in the settlement, and driving instructors and outside them. According to the new rules, they must be buckled up, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports on the Telegram channel.
"This rule obliges taxi drivers to ensure the presence of seat belts on both the front and back seats and remind passengers of the need to use them. Only drivers and passengers with disabilities, if it is physiologically impossible, as well as drivers and passengers of operational and special means of transport, are not allowed to buckle up in a populated area," the message emphasizes.
In addition, the rule prohibits changing the size, shape, markings, color and location of license plates, putting additional markings on them or covering them. The rooms must be clean and sufficiently lit.
Cyclists, according to the new rules, are allowed to move in the lane for route vehicles.
Pedestrians must use reflective elements in the dark and in conditions of insufficient visibility.
"In the dark and in conditions of insufficient visibility, pedestrians who move on the roadway or on the side of the road must use reflective elements (tape, sticker, vest, etc.) or wear clothing that has reflective elements. This is specified in clause 4.4 of the Traffic Regulations of Ukraine," the ministry emphasizes.
