In Cherkassy, a woman gave birth to a baby on the street under a closed hospital door because of a positive test for coronavirus. This is reported TSN.

A resident of Cherkassy, Alexander Kyrkich, brought his wife, who is giving birth, to the regional hospital, where she is admitted with a positive test for COVID-19. On the way, he called the doctor who was supposed to give birth if it weren't for COVID-19. But in turn, she raised her colleague, who works in this hospital, to her feet. But the ward for coronavirus patients was closed at night.

"I was already hysterical: there was no point in shouting, nobody is opening here. We called, I ran three times to the girls at the second entrance, they also did not help. I asked for help, my wife gave birth," Alexander said.

Labor had already begun, so the man spread his jacket directly on the ground. The doctor managed to arrive from home and give birth on the street. The man is very grateful to the doctor, who managed to arrive from home and give birth on the street. The door of the hospital building finally opened when the father was already holding the newborn in his arms.

"The team came out with a wheelchair, I don't understand what they were thinking, choosing such a wheelchair. She could not sit down, she was wearing pants, her pants were down, the baby was in her arms, the placenta was not cut, she could not sit down. They went slowly. Do you know what surprised me the most? Everyone was very slow, except for the doctor who was driving. Everything was very slow, no one was in a hurry, everything was fine with everyone," shared the husband of the woman in labor.

In the regional hospital, childbirth on the ground is called an extraordinary situation. They say that the woman should have called an ambulance. And the young father seems to have made a mistake and went to the general reception department, but instead he should have gone to the perinatal department. And from there they would be directed to the coronavirus.

Natalya Lakusta, the deputy chief physician of the Cherkasy Regional Hospital, explains that the delay with the staff happened because the doctors need a lot of time to put on protective uniforms. The hospital promises to conduct an official investigation.
