Anatoly Zlenko, the first head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of independent Ukraine, died at the age of 82.
This was reported on Twitter by the ex-Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the ex-post ambassador of Ukraine to the EU, Konstantin Eliseev.
"With inexpressible pain, I received the tragic news that the first head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of independent Ukraine, my teacher and diplomatic father, Anatoly Maksymovich Zlenko, has passed away! Everything I have achieved in diplomacy is thanks to the school of diplomacy. Sincere condolences to the Zlenko family. Eternal memory!" he wrote.
