Ukrainians will not have a day off on Easter, May 1 and 9

Because of the war, public holidays will be workers

This year, April 25, May 2, and May 9 will be working days in Ukraine — they will be paid in the usual manner. This is reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Labor Issues.

According to Ukrainian legislation, if the day off coincides with a holiday or non-working day, it is transferred to the next day after them.

In the spring of 2022, the days off were to be Mondays, April 25 (postponed from Easter to April 24), May 2 (postponed from May 1), and May 9 (Victory Day over Nazism).

However, the State Labor Service emphasized that the article defining public holidays and non-working days was suspended due to martial law. Therefore, Ukrainians will not have additional days off this spring.
