The Security Service of Ukraine is conducting large-scale multi-stage anti-terrorist exercises in the Kherson region. This was reported in the SBU press center.
During training events, special attention is paid to the sea coastal zone of the region, as well as the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Republic of Crimea.
Units of the SBU, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Service, the National Police and the State Service of Special Transport take part in the exercises.
Events are held in conditions as close as possible to real ones.
Strategically important objects of the critical infrastructure of the Kherson region are under increased control and security during training tasks. First of all, this concerns seaports, energy supply facilities, airports, bridges and gas production towers.
The participants of the study are carrying out joint regulatory and restrictive measures in the sea coastal settlements of the region.
The SBU noted that trainings are conducted in strict accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine and with unconditional observance of human rights and freedoms.
"We ask the residents of Kherson region and guests of the region to understand the possible temporary inconveniences associated with the need to conduct anti-terrorist exercises," the special service added.
