From January 2022, the utility bill will jump in price

According to experts' forecasts, the price of gas may increase by 2022% in 20.

In 2022, Ukraine plans to list tariffs for housing and communal services. About this сообщили on the official website of the Ministry of Energy in response to the previously published consensus forecast.

It is expected that the cost of electricity and water supply will remain at the current level, but heating and gas will increase in price.

However, the Ministry of Energy claims that the consensus forecast is an averaged value, it is an assumption by experts that may not come true in real life. After all, the forecasts of experts on price growth in 2022 do not take into account targeted programs and specific actions of the government.

However, in 2022, gas prices will increase by 13% (the error can be +-3%). Such forecasts were made public by Kamin. But according to the consensus forecast, gas prices may rise by 20%.

As of today, the Cabinet of Ministers has frozen gas prices until May, so they will not be raised. For the population — 7,4 UAH per cubic meter, for budget institutions — 13,6 UAH per cubic meter (with VAT, without delivery). But already in December, suppliers raised prices: the range is from UAH 7,79 to UAH 13,5 per cubic meter. And "Naftogaz" declared that it will not be able to maintain the current tariffs for the population for a long time.

For the industry, the tariff remained market - it has already approached the mark of UAH 50 per cubic meter. If it were not for the tariff freeze, the population would pay the same amount.

Also, from January 1, Ukrainians should expect an increase in the cost of gas distribution (delivery) by an average of 4,1%. The National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sectors (NKREKU) has published a draft decision on the approval of tariffs in 2022. The corresponding draft resolution on new tariffs published on the website of the regulator. However, as noted in NKREKU, tariffs will increase, but unevenly.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, electricity tariffs in 2022 will remain unchanged until April 30, 2022. At the same time, according to the forecasts of the Ministry of Economy, Ukrainians should expect an increase in electricity tariffs by 17,5%.

The government assures that heating prices in Ukraine will not increase during the 2021-2022 heating season. For this, the Cabinet of Ministers has developed a certain mechanism. In order to avoid rising prices for heat, before the start of the heating season, the Cabinet of Ministers, JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, the Association of Cities of Ukraine and local authorities agreed that heating tariffs for the population will remain at last year's level until April 2022.

At the same time, according to the forecasts of the Ministry of Energy, from January 1, Ukrainians may expect a 6% increase in prices from today's prices. According to experts, heating tariffs in 2022 will increase by 16% (possible error +/-3%).

Officials also assure that the cost of water supply for Ukrainians will not change from January 1, 2022. However, according to experts' forecasts, a significant increase in price should be expected. So, experts have calculated that the price of water can increase by 16%.
