Russia's oil and gas revenues increased by 38% in March

Russia's budget revenues from oil and gas in March 2024 almost doubled compared to the same period in 2023 and by 38,3% compared to February. This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, reports encorr with reference to rosZMI.

It is noted that oil and gas revenues, which make up about a third of the budget of the Russian Federation, increased to 1,31 trillion rubles last month. from 688,2 billion rubles. in March 2023 and 945,6 billion rubles. in February 2024.

The sharp increase is due to the income of the tax paid every quarter in the amount of 587,5 billion rubles.

Tax revenues decreased to 995 billion rubles in March. from 1,21 trillion rubles. a month earlier, in particular for oil - up to 803,1 billion rubles. from 1,02 trillion rubles.

In March, budget expenditures for subsidies to oil refiners from the excise tax on petroleum raw materials practically remained at the level of February — 131,8 billion rubles. compared to 133 billion rubles. a month earlier. Payments under the fuel damper increased to 164,4 billion rubles. from 127,9 billion rubles. in February

The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation included in the budget for 2024 an increase in oil and gas revenues by 30% compared to 2023, to 11,5 trillion rubles.

In 2023, oil and gas revenues decreased by 23,9% to 8,82 trillion rubles due to lower oil prices and reduced gas export volumes under sanctions. from 11,59 trillion rubles. in 2022.
