Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal spoke about the government's steps to increase pension payments for Ukrainians. This is reported on the government website.
Shmyhal noted that in March of this year indexation was carried out for the majority of Ukrainian pensioners. The increase in pensions by 11% affected almost 8 million people.
"In April of this year, indexation of pensions was carried out for working pensioners, and they also received their updated payments. In addition, minimum pension payments will be increased along with the increase in the subsistence minimum on July 1 and December 1 of this year. Last year, for the first time, the government introduced a program of supplementary payments to pensioners over 80 years old. Now they receive an additional 500 hryvnias each month," the Prime Minister emphasized.
And he noted that on October 1, additional payments of UAH 400 will also be introduced for the first time. for pensioners over 75 years old.
