The Mayor of Kodyma, Odesa Region, Sergey Lupashko, tried to congratulate his compatriots on the Day of the City in the state language, but it turned out to be very questionable.
The mayor came on stage and said a few words in Russian. Then he was given a speech in Ukrainian, which he was unable to do.
"I, like you, love our native city very much and I am making a lot of efforts to make it even better," said the official, after which he could not read in Ukrainian from the letter what was happening with the economy of Kodyma.
Lupashko got confused in his words and often got lost, so his congratulation became reminiscent of the match of the fugitive Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
"This mayor is broken, bring a new one," the authors of the video signed.
The mayor of Kodymy ended his congratulatory address with words of gratitude to everyone who works for the good of the city.
Users on social networks called the mayor's speech disgraceful, advised him to learn the language and register this year at VNO.
