Enhanced quarantine restrictions will apply in Ukraine from January 8 to January 24 inclusive. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The government made such a decision in order to prevent a new powerful wave of morbidity, which may occur even after the New Year and Christmas holidays.
From January 8 to January 24, 2021, a number of restrictions are introduced.
The operation of cafes, restaurants, bars is prohibited (except for delivery and take-out orders).
It is prohibited to receive visitors by business entities that carry out activities in the field of trade and household services for the population, except for trading exclusively in goods, related to food products, medicines, medical products, hygiene products, household chemicals, communication tools, printed media, veterinary drugs , fodder, seeds, plant protection products, on trading platforms, at least 60 percent of which are intended for trade in such goods.
Trading in other groups of goods can only occur with the implementation of address delivery of orders. Fuel trade is allowed.
Cinemas, fitness clubs, gyms, swimming pools, and theaters are also prohibited.
It is also prohibited to visit educational institutions, trade in non-food products, and hold any entertainment, sports or cultural mass events.
Allowed: provide financial services, authorized activities of financial institutions and activities for collection and transportation of currency values, activities of postal operators, as well as medical practice, veterinary practice, activities of gas stations (without food zones), activities for maintenance and repair of vehicles, hairdressing and beauty salons by prior appointment.
Public transport will continue to operate.
