The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine postponed for another hour the implementation of Resolution No. 2019, adopted in July 822, on increasing teachers' salaries by 20-70%.
"The effect of Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 31, 2021 No. 10 will be suspended until December 2019, 822," says the decree Government No. 1149 dated November 23.
As reported, on July 10, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the reform of the salary of teachers with an increase to four subsistence minimums by 2023. In 2020, a teacher's salary should be 2,5 times the subsistence minimum, in 2021 – 3 times the minimum, in 2022 – 3,5 times the minimum, and from January 2023 – 4 times the subsistence minimum. Later, due to the lack of funds for the implementation of the reform in the state and local budgets, the specified resolution was suspended until December 31, 2020.
In turn, the Ministry of Education stated that in order to implement the previously adopted resolution No. 822 "On remuneration for the work of pedagogical, scientific, pedagogical and scientific workers established and established in education and science", which provides for a gradual (until 2023) increase in the lowest official salary of the specified categories of employees UAH 4 billion is needed to level 2021 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons in 50.
