At the meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, which is being held in Odessa today, October 29, Mayor Gennady Trukhanov delivered a report to the President, reports the correspondent EliteExpert.
The mayor talked about the fight against the pandemic in Odessa and complained that, despite the Ministry of Health's promises about a rate for "covid" doctors of 300% of the usual salary, this norm is not fulfilled.
According to the mayor, doctors receive only 200% of their salary, and the difference has to be reimbursed from the city budget of Odessa.
In response, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that it was the first time he had heard that doctors in Ukraine are not paid 300% of their full salary and demanded an explanation from the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, who was also present at the meeting.
As a result, Viktor Lyashko admitted that not all doctors in the country receive 300% of their salary, which caused the indignation of the president.
Zelensky demanded that the Minister of Health urgently correct this situation, after which Lyashko reported that the issue would be resolved soon.
