On September 26-27, 2020, the 47th cycling rally "100 kilometers in 10 hours along the Belt of Glory" and the tourist crossing "100 kilometers in 24 hours along the Belt of Glory" will be held in Odessa.
The bicycle rally and tourist crossing started on September 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the "Monument to the Unknown Sailor", and the finish line was at the 411 Battery Memorial. The general principle is "bike rally-bike run". The winner is everyone who reaches the finish line.
As noted by the chairman of the organizing committee, Dmitry Voloshenkov: "For the first time in the entire history of the International Bicycle Rally, we faced force majeure circumstances related to epidemiological measures that did not allow us to hold the event traditionally in April. Nevertheless, we managed to preserve the continuity of the traditions of the memorial watch. Rather, not thanks, but in spite of. Of course, it is impossible to hold such a large-scale, mass event on the territory of the Odessa region without the friendly, partner shoulder of those people who are not indifferent to the history of our city. Today I would like to thank the Department of Culture and Sports of the Odesa Regional State Administration, the patrol police, the Euroterminal company, and all those who helped us gather about 2000 cyclists and almost 500 pedestrians at the start."
