The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine continues to expand the system of automatic photo and video recording of traffic violations. Since November 3, 18 more cameras have been operating on Ukrainian roads. They are installed on the most accident-hazardous sections of highways in Odessa, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, as well as Zaporozhye region.
As a result, on the country's roads, 236 speed limit violations are recorded by drivers. According to the department, the number of such cameras will be increased to 1 units in the future.
In particular, in Odessa, 9 complexes of automatic photo- and video recording of traffic violations were established:
- Yuzhnaya doroga, 2 (in the direction of Nikolaevskaya doroga)
- Yuzhnaya Doroga, 39 (in the direction of Semena Palia St.)
- St. Semena Palia, 80 (in the direction of Akademika Zabolotny St.)
- Nikolaevskaya doroga, 205 (in the direction of Lymannaya St.)
- ave. Nebesnoy Sotny, 4 (in the direction of Levitana St.)
- Nikolaevskaya doroga, 287 (in the direction of Yuzhnaya doroga)
- ave. Shevchenko, 4-A (in the direction of Seminarskaya St.)
- ave. Dobrovolskogo, 123-A (in the direction of Generala Bocharova St.)
- St. Semena Palia, 25-A (in the direction of South Road)
In this way, law enforcement officers not only want to force drivers to comply with traffic rules, but also to significantly reduce the level of accidents. Drivers have already started receiving "letters of happiness".
