Doctor and TV presenter Yevgeny Komarovsky called his mistake in supporting the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in the 2019 elections. He stated this in an interview with journalist Dmitry Gordon.
According to Komarovsky, 73% of Ukrainian voters who supported Zelenskyi's candidacy "got screwed" because they chose the president without any idea about his future team.
"It was important to us that this was not Poroshenko's team. We are fools. Real. I feel guilty. It was a stupid mistake. But I had no choice at that moment. The situation was like this: you have two mushrooms. This mushroom is called amanita, but it is not clear what kind of mushroom it is. Is it edible or inedible? I chose an unknown thing. Such was the logic. But the logic didn't work," explained Komarovsky.
At the same time, the doctor noted that if Poroshenko became the president of Ukraine again, the population could live better.
"It's painful to admit, but it's necessary," he emphasized.
Earlier, Yevgeny Komarovsky criticized the language legislation of Ukraine and called it humiliating for the country's residents. He stated that he would have left there with his family 30 years ago if he had known that a language ombudsman would appear in the republic.
