At the intersection of Breusa and Vodoprovodnaya streets in Odessa, a young man from Odessa, Ukrainian boxing champion, died under the wheels of a tram.
The tragedy happened in the evening. At the same time, "Odeshorelektrotrans" and the police note that the man crossed the tram tracks in the wrong place, jumped out right in front of the tram.
The tram driver applied emergency braking, but was unable to avoid hitting the man.
Ivan Soloviev, the master of sports in boxing, was killed.
"A great tragedy has occurred for Odesa boxing - master of sports Ivan Soloviev died under the wheels of a tram... From the president of the Odesa Oblast Boxing Federation, Khalid Musayev, and the entire team of the Odesa Boxing Federation, we express our condolences to the family and all those close to us..." - says the statement of the Odesa Oblast Boxing Federation.
The organization asks everyone who knew Soloviev to provide material assistance to his family.
Ivan Solovyov was 27 years old. Master of sports. He fought hundreds of battles, won many of them. Finalist of the Cup of Ukraine in 2015, champion of Ukraine (under 22 years) in the weight category up to 56 kg.
