The vast majority of Ukrainians assess the economic situation in the country as "very bad" or "fairly bad".
This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from January 29 to February 3, 2021.
In particular, only 13,8% of respondents believe that events in Ukraine are developing in the right direction. And 69,8% — hold the opinion that the events are developing in the wrong way.
In addition, 69,2% of respondents assess the economic situation in the country as "bad" ("very bad" - 28,6%, and "fairly bad" - 40,6%).
And only 1,8% of respondents assessed the economic situation as "good", and 0,1% - as "very good".
At the same time, 26% of respondents assess the situation in the economy as "not bad and not good."
Respondents were also asked to estimate the level of well-being of their families. As a result, 43,2% of respondents rated the level of well-being as "very" or "sufficiently" bad, 46,4% - as "neither bad nor good". And only 6,7% of respondents rated the level of well-being as "good" or "very good".
Ukrainians do not believe too much in rapid changes in the economic sphere either: only 6,9% believe that the country's economic situation will change for the better in the next 3 months. At the same time, 7,8% hope that their family's well-being will improve during this time.
Much more citizens expect the situation to worsen: 32,2% believe that the country's economic situation will change for the worse in the next 3 months, and 23,8% believe that their family's well-being will change for the worse during this time.
The most common opinion was that the situation will not change significantly in 3 months (respectively, 47,8% and 53,2% do not expect any changes).
As for the more distant perspective, 19,7% of respondents expect the economic situation in the country to improve in the next 2-3 years, and 25% expect it to deteriorate. Another 21% of respondents do not expect any changes at all.
20,8% of respondents expect an improvement in the level of family well-being.
During the survey, 15,6% of respondents expressed the opinion that Ukraine is capable of overcoming existing problems and difficulties within the next few years.
At the same time, 51,2% believe that our country is capable of overcoming them in the longer term, and 20% believe that it is not capable of overcoming them.
The survey was conducted by the face-to-face interview method at the place of residence of the respondents.
