President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted a draft law on the demobilization of conscripts to the Verkhovna Rada. Document under no11035"On Amendments to Chapter XII "Final Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Military Duty and Military Service" regarding the terms of conscript military service" already registered on the website of the parliament.
The explanatory note states that the development of the draft law is conditioned by the need to ensure the release into reserve of military personnel who have served the established terms of military conscript service.
The draft law proposes to normalize the possibility of releasing servicemen who have served the specified terms of fixed-term military service into the reserve during the period of martial law in Ukraine, which will allow the release of servicemen who have served the specified terms of fixed-term military service into the reserve in 2024.
In the draft law, Chapter XII "Final Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Military Duty and Military Service" is proposed to be supplemented.
"To establish that during the mobilization announced by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 24, 2022 No. 65/2022 "On General Mobilization", approved by the Law of Ukraine dated March 3, 2022 No. 2105-IX (as amended), and martial law , introduced by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 24, 2022 No. 64/2022 "On the introduction of martial law in Ukraine", approved by the Law of Ukraine dated February 24, 2022 No. 2102-IX (with subsequent amendments), conscript military servicemen whose term of military service , established by the first part of Article 23 of this Law, ended during the martial law and whose military service was extended beyond the established terms in accordance with the ninth part of Article 23 of this Law, as an exception to the provisions of the ninth part of Article 23 of this Law, are released from military service in reserve within the terms determined by the Decree of the President of Ukraine", - it is stated in the text of the draft law.
