Ukraine approved new military accounting rules (document)

According to the resolution, military registration will take place through the Unified State Register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists.

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a new procedure for the organization and maintenance of military records in Ukraine, which provides for a number of innovations. This is evidenced by the resolution adopted on December 30, 2022 decree under No. 1487. The document was made public on January 3, 2023.

So, from now on, conscripts can transfer data to military commissions through Diya, in particular, when changing their place of residence. It should be noted that military registration will begin at the age of 16 (previously it was at the age of 17).

In addition, in 2023, conscripts will be able to hire or study only after issuing a military ID or after being registered for military service. And all employment centers will now provide information on unemployed conscripts.

The document also obliges the heads of enterprises to notify employees about the draft. The employees of the military commissariat will now be able to conduct door-to-door rounds after obtaining official permission from the mayor, village or settlement head.

Also, diplomatic agencies will keep military records of conscripted Ukrainians who left Ukraine after February 24. They should also facilitate the return of such citizens to our country.

Military accounting was also divided into general and special. Conscripts who do not have armor belong to the first, and those who have armor belong to the special category.

Women who have received an education in a medical or pharmaceutical specialty and are not on the military register before the approval of this order can be employed as non-military until the end of 2026.

From the first day of the great war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, February 24, 2022, mobilization was announced in our country. The Ministry of Defense stressed that the mobilization will last as long as necessary to re-staff all the necessary units.

December 6 at the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that there is currently no need to serve summonses to citizens at checkpoints. The Armed Forces declare: it is impossible to say that there will be another wave of mobilization after the New Year. All factors affecting this have long been taken into account.

Now, first of all, citizens who have completed military service are being mobilized. For the rest, in the case of mobilization, training will last at least a month.
