The head of one of the Ukrainian parties demanded 2,5 million dollars for inclusion in the transit list to the Council. For this purpose, a special route of advancement on the political ladder was developed: joining the party, becoming the head of the district office. For a successful start of a political career, they could even appoint the head of "Kyivvodokanal" as an adviser.
As reported by General Prosecutor's Office, in addition to the head of the party, the head of its territorial branch was detained.
"According to the investigation, the head of the political party, acting in collusion with the head of the territorial branch of the same party, demanded that the businessman hand over 2,5 million US dollars to them for including him in the "transitional" part of the list of the political party in the elections to the VRU in order to receive in this way, the mandate of the people's deputy," the prosecutor's office reported.
The SBU does not say what kind of party it is.
