Ukrainians who went abroad in connection with military operations will be able to resume pension payments and open bank accounts remotely by sending certain documents and video verification.
According to reported at the Ministry of Reintegration, Ukrainian pensioners temporarily arriving abroad will be able to submit an application for the payment of a pension or financial assistance remotely using an electronic signature. It is also possible to resume the payment of a pension, which was suspended during the martial law period, without coming to Ukraine by sending a corresponding application by mail.
How to submit an electronic application for receiving a pension
An application for payment or change in the method of payment of a pension or financial assistance can be submitted remotely. It is also reported about the possibility to resume without coming to Ukraine pensions, the payment of which was suspended during the period of martial law by sending a corresponding application by mail.
Ukrainians living abroad can submit an electronic application through the institutions of authorized banks using the means of a qualified electronic signature, and can also open an account remotely without the need to visit the bank in person.
Ukrainians can open a payment card on the official website or mobile application of a financial institution without visiting a bank branch. To open such an account, identification will be carried out by means of video verification.
Restoration of pension payments
To restore pension payments that were suspended during the period of martial law, citizens of Ukraine must send by mail the appropriate application with copies of documents on obtaining temporary protection or refugee status, as well as indicate information on the registration of the place of temporary residence/stay abroad (with mandatory transfer ), notarized or certified by a diplomatic mission or consular institution of Ukraine.
Payment of pensions abroad
The accrual of pensions for Ukrainians who have gone abroad will be carried out through international transfers, which will be carried out by "Ukrposhta".
It is worth noting that this refers to the renewal of payments for Ukrainian citizens abroad who received a pension in Ukraine in cash.
It is noted that this category of pensioners can resume receiving pension payments by sending an application by mail in the manner determined by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
