Mirror publication, citing its own source in the country's defense sector, reports that Great Britain will transfer four Apache AH64 E attack helicopters to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package.
Apache helicopters can be armed with up to 16 Hellfire anti-tank missiles, 70mm Hydra rockets and a 30mm chain gun.
It is reported that the transfer of helicopters is planned after Ukraine receives Challenger 2 tanks.
"Apache will change the rules of the game. The tanks will arrive first and it will take some time before the helicopters can be deployed. Other NATO members will now follow suit. Four Apaches can destroy an entire regiment of 70 tanks in a matter of seconds,” the source claims.
It is indicated that Ukrainian pilots will be trained in Britain, and a maintenance base will be created in a neighboring country, for example, in Poland.
On Saturday, January 14, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a telephone conversation, during which the Prime Minister of Great Britain announced plans to transfer 14 Challenger 2 tanks and 30 additional AS-90 artillery systems to Ukraine.
