The US military conducted a test launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile Minuteman III. This was reported by the press service of the air base of the US space forces in Vandenberg (California).
"These tests demonstrate the readiness of the US nuclear force and instill confidence in the lethality and effectiveness of the nation's nuclear deterrent," said Col. Brian Titus, who was in charge of the tests.
At the moment, the United States has at its disposal 400 such missiles, each of which is capable of carrying up to three nuclear warheads. The missile is capable of hitting targets within a radius of 12 kilometers.
