Russian missiles flew into the airspace of a NATO country

During the massive strike on February 10, two Russian Kalibr cruise missiles crossed Romanian airspace.

"On February 10, at 10:18 a.m., two Russian Kalibr cruise missiles crossed the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova.

At approximately 10:33 a.m., these missiles crossed the airspace of Romania, which is a member of NATO. After that, the specified air target again entered the airspace of Ukraine at the crossing point of the borders of the three states."

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi in Telegram. After that, the missiles again entered the airspace of Ukraine at the crossing point of the borders of the three states.

According to Zaluzhny, these Calibers were launched from the waters of the Black Sea.

"The Air Force could shoot down missiles over the territory of Romania and Moldova. But the military understood the risks and threats to the population of a foreign country, so they didn't do it right away," Ignatius said.

Later, the information was confirmed to the Ministry of Defense of Moldova. The department condemned the actions of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova summoned the ambassador of the Russian Federation in connection with the violation of the country's airspace by a Russian missile.

"At 10:18 a.m., the responsible structures of the institution detected a missile that crossed the airspace of the Republic of Moldova over the city of Mokra in the Transnistrian region, and later over the city of Kosautsi in the Soroki district, heading towards Ukraine," the message reads.
