The Pentagon plans to restore its arms stockpile by $6,5 billion after providing aid to Ukraine — Bloomberg

All equipment and weapons are planned to be purchased from American enterprises

After providing military aid to Ukraine, the US Department of Defense needs to replenish its stockpile of weapons worth 6,5 billion dollars. This was reported by the publication Bloomberg, which reviewed the Pentagon document that was sent to the US Congress.

According to the document, dated February 24, the US military specifically stated the need to:

— $2,1 billion for components and assembly of 155-mm shells;
— $915 million for the purchase of additional components of HARM anti-radar missiles;
— $797 million for components for Patriot interceptors from factories;
— $549 million for additional GMLRS weapons components;
— $348 million for TOW anti-tank missiles and components;
— $308 million for night vision devices.

All equipment and weapons are planned to be purchased from American enterprises located in different states. At the same time, as noted, this list is only a part of the total list of weapons worth $10 billion, which the USA provided to Ukraine from its warehouses.

The Pentagon also expects these funds to be included in an additional request by US President Joe Biden, which provides for the allocation of billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine, Taiwan and Israel.
