In Odesa, law enforcement officers uncovered a channel for the wholesale supply of cannabis to the territory of Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. This was reported in the press service of the GUNP.
More than five kilograms of cannabis, purchased for further retail trade, scales, telephones and other material evidence were found and seized from the houses and cars of the defendants.
A 63-year-old local woman and a 70-year-old local resident were arrested.
Searches were also carried out in the circle of persons "close" to the defendants, from whom similar narcotics were also seized in smaller quantities.
The women now face at least six years in prison.
