Let us remind you that on April 10, there was a protest action called "Coast Liberation Day" organized by the all-Ukrainian association "Avtomaidan", at which the representative of the company "Varda Plus", lawyer Yury Shynkarenko said that while they are planning to improve the territory - build a new staircase and promised that "no one will occupy the beach won't be."
Let us remind you that on April 7, construction equipment started working on the beach again, although the Odessa prosecutor's office is currently appealing the lease of this land plot.
Max Wagner, an emigrant living in Berlin, is one of the co-owners of Varda Plus. In the spring of 2019, the mayor's office approved a land development plan to set aside a plot of land at 1/5 French Boulevard, with an area of 0,68 hectares, and leased the plot to Varda Plus. We are talking about the area between the beach of the former sanatorium "Russia" and the border guards' beach. After that, the developer issued the degree and design documentation and in September 2019 received a permit for construction work.
