The closing of the 2021 racing season took place today at the Odessa Hippodrome. The program of tests of purebred riding and trotting horse breeds was completed at the XNUMXth All-Ukrainian Equestrian Competition.
19 athletes and 80 horses from all over Ukraine took part in the race.
The event has traditionally become a holiday, both for lovers of equestrian sports and for residents of Odessa who decided to just relax with their children.
In addition to the horse races, the audience was entertained by a festive concert and a performance by gymnasts as part of the competitions. There were also food courts, a large photo zone, and everyone could ride a pony on the territory of the racetrack.
A parade of participants took place before the races. The races and races themselves were held in many nominations: the race for the prize in honor of the XNUMXth All-Ukrainian Equestrian Competition, the Cup of Champions, the Cup of the Odessa Regional Council, the power jump, the race for the Cup of the President of Ukraine, the race for the Cup of the State Enterprise "Konyarstvo Ukrainy" and the Odessa Hippodrome .
The winners in each nomination were awarded by the director of the State Enterprise "Konevodstvo Ukrainy" Evgeniy Veretiuk and the director of the Odessa Hippodrome Konstantin Savchyts.
Oleg Radkovsky, the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, was also present at the closing of the racing season, who presented the cup of the Regional Council to the winner of the races in this nomination. He became the master rider Yevgeny Kovalsky. The nickname of the horse's ego is Celsiy Lozo (Lozovsky stud farm).
The politician noted the importance of the development and support of equestrian sports and horse breeding in Ukraine.
"Equestrian sport is special and has a long history and traditions both in Ukraine and in the world. And it is very nice that even today such competitions are held, and the culture of equestrian sports and horse breeding lives and flourishes," said Oleg Radkovsky.
The most honorable prize - from the President of Ukraine, in which the country's best horses competed, was won by a 48-year-old jockey from Mariupol, Isa Yagyaev. He has been professionally involved in equestrian sports for 34 years and is a 12-time champion of Ukraine.
In total, 11 cups and prizes were played during the day of competition in honor of the closing of the season.
Note that the Odessa Hippodrome is the only one in Ukraine where such competitions take place. The best thoroughbred horses from leading stud farms and private owners took part in them.
