Euroblachers get ready: the grace period for customs clearance has ended in Ukraine

Starting tomorrow, the police will stop them.

Today, November 10, the 180-day grace period for customs clearance of "euroblakh" ends in Ukraine. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

We are talking about used cars that were manufactured at least five years ago and were under the customs regime of temporary importation or transit as of December 31, 2020.

From tomorrow, November 11, the "euroblachers" will be stopped by the police and fined for driving a car with a foreign registration that was not taken out of Ukraine in a timely manner, and for driving a car with foreign license plates by a person other than the one who brought the vehicle into the territory of Ukraine

Fines range from 8 to 500 hryvnias, and by court decision, such cars will be confiscated.

According to the State Customs Service, as of November 1, more than 66 cars were cleared through customs under the new formula. The state budget received UAH 2,3 billion.

"Hide the car in the garage "until the best time" or sell it for spare parts - it won't save you," warns UkrAvtoprom.

Note that for participants of hostilities who were directly on the territory of the OOS for more than 90 days from the date of entry into force of the laws (from May 15, 2021), the grace period is valid until February 8, 2022.
