In Ukraine, amendments to the law providing for increased control over the treatment of animals have entered into force.
We are talking about increasing fines for walking dogs of dangerous breeds without muzzles and leashes in public places, as well as a complete ban on mobile zoos and exhibitions.
A warning or a fine in the amount of 170 to 340 hryvnias can be received for walking dogs in an inappropriate place or for walking without leashes and muzzles. This is the case if these breeds are listed as dangerous.
Also, the owner can be issued such a fine for the fact that they do not clean up the excrement of their animals during a walk. Officials will pay a little more for such a violation. For them, the amount of the fine will be from 340 to 850 hryvnias.
In case of repeated violation within a year, the fine for natural persons may increase to 340-510 hryvnias, for officials - up to 1 hryvnias.
The fine for a violation that is accompanied by harm to a person or his property for an ordinary Ukrainian will be from 1 to 700 hryvnias with confiscation of the pet. And officials with the same violation will be fined from 3 to 400 hryvnias and also with the confiscation of animals.
