The Ukrainian energy industry survived the first stage of the winter period with dignity. The generation is sufficient to provide light and heat in the homes of Ukrainian citizens. About it in his Telegram channels Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
"The first winter month is coming to an end, the Ukrainian energy industry is passing it successfully. The daily maximum consumption has been decreasing for several days in a row. The generation is sufficient to provide light and heat in the homes of Ukrainians and for the work of enterprises," — he said.
Shmyhal said that for household consumers the price of electricity and in the future, it will be UAH 2,64 per kWh. This will not increase the burden on the budget of Ukrainians during the heating season.
The head of government thanked conscious citizens and businesses that took measures to save electricity on days when it was needed.
Shmyhal informed that over the past week, Ukraine twice provided emergency aid to Poland, accepting an additional amount of electricity.
He expressed hope for reciprocal support from ENTSO-E partners if necessary.
