According to the influential international agency QS World University Rankings, eight Ukrainian universities were included in the ranking of the best universities in the world. A total of 1 universities are on the list.
Kharkiv National University named after V. Karazin took the highest position among Ukrainian universities.
6 Ukrainian universities did not change their positions compared to last year:
- Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko – it took the 601st – 650th place;
- NTU "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" - 651 - 700 place;
- NTU "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sykorsky" - 701 - 750 place;
- Sumy State University - 701 - 750 place;
- NU "Lviv Polytechnic" - 801st - 1000th place;
- NU "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" - 1001 - 1200 place.
At the same time, for the first time in the ranking of world universities, Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. He was on the 1001-1200 place.
How the rating of universities was compiled
Universities were selected based on six key parameters:
- academic reputation,
- reputation of the employer (how companies evaluate university graduates),
- ratio of teachers and students,
- citation of works at the faculty,
- ratio of international teachers,
- ratio of foreign students.
Let us add that the best university in the world for the tenth year in a row is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which receives perfect scores for research results and employment rate.
