The "Grain Agreement" on the export of Ukrainian food was extended for two months

The head of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov confirmed the "grain agreement"

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the Agreement on the Black Sea Grain Corridor has been extended for another two months. About this reports the Anatolia.

"Thanks to the efforts of our country, the support of our Russian friends and the contribution of our Ukrainian friends, a decision was made to extend the agreement on the grain corridor for another two months," the Turkish leader announced during an address to fellow party members and branch leaders of his Justice and Development Party.

Erdogan did not specify whether the continuation of the "grain agreement" involves the changes that Russia had previously insisted on - in particular, the unblocking of part of the sanctions.

Head of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov confirmed, that the "grain agreement" is unblocked, it will remain in effect until July 18. Kubrakov said that currently 30,4 million tons of agricultural products have been sent from Ukraine to meet the needs of the world.

Since May, Russia has effectively blocked the "grain initiative", refusing to register a new fleet and carry out inspections of the fleet going to Ukrainian ports for loading. Almost 70 vessels are currently waiting in the territorial waters of Turkey, 90% are those that are ready to deliver the products of Ukrainian farmers to the world.

"We welcome the continuation of the initiative, but emphasize that it must work effectively. For this, it is necessary to eliminate the problems that Russia has been creating for several months in a row by sabotaging inspections and registering a new fleet," Kubrakov emphasized.

Formerly Bloomberg with reference to Turkish officials, reported that Russia has agreed to remain in the Black Sea Grain Initiative for the time being, so the agreement will be extended.
