Odessa border guards, while processing a ship from Turkey in the Black Sea seaport, found illegal immigrants from Syria hiding in a cargo of fabrics.
As the press center of the State Border Service reports on Tuesday, September 28, it turned out that each of them paid 7 thousand euros in a Turkish port for traveling in a hold among bales of fabrics.
The two illegals did not have documents with them, but called themselves citizens of Syria and said that they hoped to get to relatives in Italy. At the same time, they observed anti-covid restrictions and wore masks.
Moreover, it later turned out that a relative with a residence permit in Ukraine was already waiting for the illegal immigrants near the checkpoint.
Opened criminal proceedings.
