Specialists conducted a study of the noise level of the city's streets and named the "loudest" Odessa highways. The Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced this on its Facebook page.
"There were 26 measurements of noise levels on the territory of residential buildings near highways in Odesa, Kylia and Reny," the message says.
According to the monitoring results, permissible noise levels are exceeded in the following areas of the city:
- 5th station of Bolshoi Fontan;
- Shevchenko Avenue;
- St. Preobrazhenskaya;
- St. Bolshaya Arnautskaya;
- sq. Srednefontanskaya.
The research was conducted in Odessa and the region from December 9 to 16.
Note that, according to sanitary standards, the permissible level of noise, which does not cause hearing damage even with prolonged exposure to a hearing aid, is considered to be: 55 decibels (dB) during the day and 40 decibels (dB) at night.
