In Morshyn, where a mass vaccination for collective immunity was carried out as part of a pilot project of the Ministry of Health, there is not a single person hospitalized with COVID-19. This was reported by the city mayor Ruslan Ilnytskyi.
"As of today, only 22 people in Morshyn have COVID-19, 8 of them have been vaccinated, but not a single person is in the hospital," Ilnytskyi said.
According to him, there were no coronavirus patients in the city during the summer. But with the appearance of Delta, the situation changed a little - only one 80-year-old grandmother was hospitalized, but she had a vaccination. The patient had a mild illness and was in the hospital for only a week.
Note that currently 74% of residents in the city are vaccinated with two doses, 75% with one dose. In total, 4 people live in the city, 239 of whom are children under the age of 800.
Meanwhile, according to Levon Nikohosyan, director of the city's health department, only 22% of Odessa residents have completed a full course of vaccination.
