Three-quarters (74%) of the total number of people injured during the performance of their professional duties from January 2021 to September, inclusively, are health care workers.
According to the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine, the vast majority of them suffered from the infection of Covid-19.
"In just 9 months of 2021, the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine registered 9 victims of accidents or acute occupational diseases at work... Out of them, 861 people are recognized as employees of health care institutions, of which 7270 suffered as a result of infection with the SARS-CoV-7105 coronavirus"" , - says the message of the Foundation.
It is noted that among the victims of accidents of all types during this period, the largest number of nurses and brothers - 1 people.
Also, among the most dangerous professions are family doctors (609 victims), junior nurses and brothers in patient care (554), junior nurses and brothers (461), hospital nurses and brothers (374).
At the same time, before the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine, medical professions were not included in the list of the most dangerous in the accounting of accidents and occupational diseases.
