Starting next Monday, November 22, some students in grades 5-11 will return to full-time education. This was announced by the director of the city's education department, Elena Buynevych.
According to the official, the uniform will be restored "where possible".
At the moment, more than 100 teachers and 400 technical workers have been dismissed from their jobs. This is due to the fact that there are not enough vaccinated employees in the institutions. Not all school workers have vaccination certificates or certificates of contraindications.
Now school administrations are urgently looking for a replacement to ensure a proper sanitary regime.
"Mainly technical staff were not vaccinated. Therefore, it is impossible to ensure a sanitary regime until we replace the personnel. This week we will work on attracting additional people to our institutions. We are planning to take grades 5-11 to face-to-face training from next Monday," said Buynevych.
According to her, on Friday, parents will receive information about how the school where their child studies will work.
Also, Elena Buynevych noted that 97% of employees were vaccinated in Odessa schools. By the way, with an increase in the percentage of vaccinations, there is a trend towards a decrease in sick people every week. So, this week 108 employees fell ill, and last week there were 124. Together with this, the number of closed groups in kindergartens is decreasing.
We remind you that school holidays were announced from October 25 to November 7. Then the students of grades 1-4 returned to their desks, while the rest continued to work remotely.
