Artificial intelligence during medical diagnostics and CT scans has now started to be used in Ukraine as well. In particular, such research is currently available in Odesa and Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. About this the The Ministry of Health of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
"Odesa became the first city in Ukraine where the BrainScan telemedicine pilot project was implemented. This system works on the basis of artificial intelligence and significantly speeds up the process of diagnosing brain diseases or injuries, when time is a critical factor," the message says.
The neural network analyzes computed tomography (CT) images in automatic mode and detects pathological changes.
"The doctor can make a decision on further treatment already within 5 minutes after the image is processed by the program. This speeds up the process several times," doctors note.
This method of diagnosis is used not only by Odesa doctors, but also by their colleagues from Kramatorsk.
"The use of artificial intelligence for the analysis of CT images of the brain within the project has shown good results. From now on, the Odesa experience of involving a neural network in the diagnosis of patients is also used in the front-line Kramatorsk of the Donetsk region," the department summarized.
