Ukraine must be ready for the departure of doctors abroad. People's deputy Iryna Vereshchuk stated this on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
Domestic doctors can make a decision in favor of the second state due to extremely low wages in Ukraine, the People's Deputy explained.
"I heard Stepanov (Maxim Stepanov, Minister of Health, Ed.) on Friday from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada during question time to the government, and his speech was very critical. He clearly noted that those salaries and even pledged money in the state budget for the next year will not be enough to pay all the necessary salaries and raise them. He even mentioned the doctor's last name too emotionally and said that 5-7 thousand UAH is not the money we are talking about. And this is against the background of the fact that Poland, for example, will not nostrify the diplomas of our doctors, and will allow Ukrainian doctors and medical personnel to enter Poland for work during the pandemic.
Therefore, we must prepare for the fact that doctors will make a decision in favor of the second state," Vereshchuk noted.
