In 30% of patients with clear signs of coronavirus infection, the result of the PCR test is erroneous. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Health, Maksym Stepanov.
— To hospitalize a patient with symptoms of COVID-19, it is not necessary to do a PCR test. For this, the presence of clinical symptoms is sufficient. According to world statistics, up to 30% of patients with clear signs of coronavirus infection have a negative PCR test. This is influenced by many factors, in particular, the intake process, physiological features of the body, and others, the minister said.
