Pensions will be raised in Ukraine, but not for everyone

The Pension Fund of Ukraine recalculated pensions for 1,6 million people.

This is due to the increase of the minimum wage to 5000 hryvnias, the PFU reports.

As noted in the message, this change is the basis for increasing the minimum age pension for non-working pensioners who have reached the age of 65 and who have 35 years of insurance experience for men and 30 years for women.

Thus, the minimum pension for pensioners with full insurance experience will increase from UAH 1889,20 (UAH 4723 x 40%) to UAH 2000 (UAH 5000 x 40%).

As noted in the PFU, pensioners will start receiving pensions in new sizes from September 2020.

"For working pensioners, the recalculation of pensions using the new minimum wage indicator is carried out after dismissal from work or termination of their entrepreneurial activity," the message says.
