The former head of the state corporation Naftogaz Andriy Kobolev received 347 million hryvnias in compensation, and in total six members of the board of JSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" received 512 million hryvnias as a reward for successful work, People's Deputy Oleksiy Kucherenko from the "Batkivshchyna" faction reported on his page in Facebook.
According to his information, Yuriy Vitrenko, Andriy Kobolev, Serhiy Pereloma, Otto Vaterlander, Petrus Van Dril and Yaroslav Teklyuk received the funds.
"Data from the annual report of Naftogaz for 2021. In March 2020, the government signed a four-year contract with Kobolev. In May 2021, the contract was terminated due to the unprofitability of Naftogaz — the amount of compensation to Kobolev — UAH 347.4 million.
In a separate line, there are cosmic compensations for outstanding services to Messrs. Perlomi, Vatterlander and other members of the board. I ask a simple question — what punishment should government officials and the prime minister personally bear for an incorrect management decision at a cost of more than UAH 500 million?!" — wrote Oleksiy Kucherenko.
Earlier, the ex-head of Naftogaz, Andriy Kobolev, explained why in 2020 the company's management received about $30 million in bonuses, although according to the media, in 2020, Naftogaz had losses of 19 billion hryvnias.
"In 2020, the management of Naftogaz fulfilled all the main tasks set before it. Who performed well, who performed poorly. Everything is recorded in the talent management system," Kobolev explained at the time.
In addition, back in August of this year, Oleksiy Kucherenko stated that due to the mistakes of Kobolev and the current chairman of the board of Naftogaz, Yury Vitrenko, the budget of Ukraine wanted to spend an astronomical sum of 4-6 billion dollars on the purchase of natural gas for the heating season, despite the availability of gas of Ukrainian production, which today is ten times cheaper than the European one.
It will be recalled that on April 28, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Andriy Kobolev, the chairman of the board of Naftogaz, appointing the former Acting Minister of Energy Yuriy Vitrenko to this position.
As the mass media reported, in February 2022, after the searches of the Central Bureau of Investigation, Kobolev went abroad, the searches were connected with the investigation of the case of the illegal alienation of natural gas in the amount of 2020 billion hryvnias in 2,2.
