The minimum wage in Ukraine will be increased from 6000 to 7700 hryvnias

The government plans to increase the minimum wage to UAH 2022 in 7700 — now the minimum wage in Ukraine is UAH 6. Minister of Finance Sergey Marchenko told about this on the air of "24 Channel".

"We now expect that next year we will increase the minimum wage to 7700 hryvnias. And then we will have an increase in inflation + 2% — that is, we are laying a fairly moderate increase in social indicators.

I want to emphasize that we have left fiscal space. We are talking about undistributed expenses. They amount to between 50 and 100 billion hryvnias, which can be directed to raising the minimum wage, raising the living wage...", the minister said.

According to him, the growth of pension payments is also expected.

"This will be a priority and will already be determined during the formation of the budget for 2022-2024. There is money to increase these payments," he summarized.

Since July 1, the subsistence minimum has increased in Ukraine: all social benefits depend on its size. Accordingly, unemployment benefits have increased.

The amount of the unemployment benefit is 1 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons, from July 2379, it is UAH XNUMX.

At the same time, the maximum amount of the unemployment benefit will be UAH 9516, previously it was UAH 9080.
