The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Concept of Economic Development of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts until 2030.
The corresponding decision was made at the government meeting on Wednesday, December 23.
The purpose of the document is to define the conceptual approaches and main directions of the Donbas Economic Development Strategy for the creation of legal, institutional and organizational conditions for the formation and development of the economy of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
According to the concept, the restart of the economy of Donbass will take place in two stages: the first - in the current conditions on the controlled territory of the regions, the second - on the entire territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions after reintegration.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, these territories require additional incentives that will create an attractive platform for attracting investments.
In particular, we are talking about development in the direction of the real sector of the economy, industrialization, development of critical infrastructure and logistics.
