On September 9, the Government supported the draft law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Automobile Transport" developed by the Ministry of Infrastructure. This is reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As reported by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Vladyslav Krykly, this draft law clearly defines the following terms in the legislation of Ukraine: "electric vehicle" (electric vehicle), "electric bus", "electric vehicle charging station", "electric cargo vehicle", "passenger electric vehicle", "hybrid electric vehicle". , "plug-in hybrid electric car".
"We are gradually moving towards the widespread use of more environmentally friendly and modern types of transport on electric motors. Electric cars have already become an integral part of our life and in the future this direction will only develop. And the better the government, the Verkhovna Rada and the state as a whole will contribute to increasing the level of electric mobility in Ukraine, the faster it will happen," the Minister of Infrastructure noted.
He hopes that the Verkhovna Rada will positively evaluate the above bill in the near future.
"Thousands of Ukrainians who now use or want to start using electric transport are waiting for these changes," Krykly said.
He also recalled the recent support of deputies in the first reading of draft laws No. 3476 and No. 3477 aimed at stimulating the development of electric transport in Ukraine, as well as draft law No. 3023, which introduces clear rules for the use of personal electric transport, which contributes to the improvement of road safety.
