The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted in the first reading for the government bill on mobilization. About this on February 7 informed people's deputy from the "Voice" party Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The draft Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Certain Issues of Military Service, Mobilization, and Military Registration" (registration number 10449) was supported by 243 people's deputies (at least 226 if necessary).
The bill was voted for in the first reading178 People's Deputies from the "Servant of the People" faction, 3 - from the "Voice" faction, 18 - the "Trust" group, 17 - from the "Platform for Life and Peace" group, 12 - the "Restoration of Ukraine" group, 7 - the "For the Future" group ", 8 - non-factional people's deputies.
The "European Solidarity" and "Fatherland" factions did not vote in full.
"The draft law was adopted without the proposals of the Committee. Then, amendments are made 14 days before February 21 and the second reading. That is, the draft law as a whole will most likely be adopted in the last week of February, signed at the beginning of March and will enter into force in a month, i.e. in April," — wrote Zheleznyak.
Recall that ombudsman of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets stated that draft law No. 10449 has a number of "contradictory norms". The comments to the document took up nine pages.
